For those who don’t know me, I am Dawn Pickett, a mother of 3, Nanny D of 4 and wife of Kevin for over 31 years.  I am a lover of Jesus and His creation, even bugs, a gardener, a homemaker, a teacher, a crafter, a prayer warrior, an avid reader, a self-taught nutritionist and a budding herbalist. Learning more intensely about nutrition and the best way to eat for healthy living and inspiring others to join me has been a natural path for me over the past decade or so.  This passion led me and my husband to start growing our own food and now we have a massive garden–no need for a gym membership that’s for sure, which provides food for us and for many friends and family.

Because I am an avid reader and a perpetual student, I wanted to learn more about herbs and their medicinal properties.  In addition, my husband and I have been striving to become more self-sufficient and self-sustaining so that we don’t have to rely on unpredictable food and drug supplies like has happened over the past 4 years.

So here I am today with all of you, hopefully blazing the trail to maybe wet your appetite, spark your interest and guide you on a new journey of exploring herbs and developing your own apothecary and self healing.  So let’s start learning!!!!
